Latest Entry Requirements for Chinese Visa for Bangladeshi Citizens (as of May 2025)
If you’re a Bangladeshi citizen planning to travel to China for tourism, business, study, work, or medical purposes, obtaining a visa is mandatory. The application process has specific requirements and steps to ensure compliance with Chinese immigration regulations.
Step 1: Preparing Documents as Required
- Passport. Original passport with at least six months of validity and blank visa pages.
- ID Photo. A recent and colour ID photo, facing forward and with white colour background, and bareheaded, in 48mm x 33mm size.
- Proof of legal stay or residence status (applicable to those applying for Chinese visa who are not in their country of citizenship).
Step 2: Complete China Online Visa Application Form
Online Application: Complete the visa application form through the official China Online Visa Application website.
Step 3: Appointment for submitting required documents or Video Interview (if required) and Visa Submission
- Check the assessing result of your application
- Video interview is needed for some kinds of visa.
- Schedule an appointment for visa submission at the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre in Dhaka.
- Submitting the following documents at the Embassy: a) Original passport. b) Visa Application Form of the People’s Republic of China. c) ID Photo. A recent and colour ID photo. d) Depending on the visa type, you may need to submit Original or photocopy of supporting documents such as an invitation letter, flight itinerary, hotel bookings, or proof of financial means.
- Fingerprint Collection: All applicants holding ordinary passports are required to have their fingerprints collected. However Applicants who already had their fingerprints collected within the past five years at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Bangladesh with the same passport can be exempted.
STEP 4: Payment and Collection
- Applicants will be given a pickup form when submitting documents in person at the Embassy. Applicants must bring the pickup form for passport collection and make the payment for your visa application.
- Applicants shall pay the visa fees with a bank card. Cash payment is not accepted.
